Verftet (The Yard) in Ny-Hellesund consists of three buildings, designed along the lines of the old shipyard. The largest building is located exactly on the premises of the old shipyard's workshop, and it is called The Workshop Building. Closest to the old slip, now transformed into a sandy beach is The Slip Building, while The Bentsenbuilding, named after the old Yards owner, is located between these two.
In The Workshop Building, you will find the Café Verftet and the conference room, called "Spanteplanet". The conference room is located exactly where the ribs (bracings) to the ships were built, called "Spanter" in Norwegian. Behind the building you will find the common area including a fireplace.
General information about the apartments
All apartments are fully equipped with utensils, cups and dishes. The kitchenettes are tailored for the apartments and provided by the kitchen manufacturer Strai Kjøkken. The furniture is provided by Sundays, while the sofas, chairs and tables are designed to be used both indoors and outdoors. In the apartments you will find satellite television and DAB radio with auxiliary. There is also free wireless internet connection. Cleaning is included, but you can choose if you want to rent linen and towels or bring it with you.

APARTMENT: BENTSEN 10
This is the outer apartment in the Bentsenbuilding. The outer apartment has a great view down the strait, where you will see The Customs Office and the Trade Wharf. Together with the utmost apartment in the Slip Building, this is the apartment with the finest location on the yard.
The apartment has a living room with kitchenette in the 1 floor and three bedrooms on the 2nd floor. One of the bedrooms have double beds, while the other two have two separate beds. This is the only apartment with two bathrooms.

APARTMENT: VERKSTEDBYGGET 2 - 9
There are six beds in the apartment, divided into two rooms on the first floor and the open loft. The bedroom on the ground floor has a double bed, while the other has a bunk bed. There are two single beds in the loft, with two additional mattresses.
The bathroom, which has a toilet, a sink, a washer and a dryer, are on the ground floor adjacent to the entrance door. The living room and kitchen is in the apartment's second floor. There is also a terrace facing west and the common area with sunset at 11 pm. You can walk directly from the terrace and out onto the common area.
